Backing / Schooling

As one of the final stages in producing a young horse from birth to their ridden career, we offer a full backing service. Experienced sympathetic riding, and excellent facilities ensure this important stage in a horse’s life goes smoothly and without drama! We have a large, floodlit arena for initial sessions under saddle, and then off road hacking, and quiet roads where young horses can be gently introduced to traffic. We can progress your horse as far as you wish – some stay just until they are used to a rider on their back, and some stay for longer and return home with established schooling.

Grading / Breed shows

As a stud we are regular participants in breed society gradings and shows, BEF Futurity evaluations and other competitions. We have a wealth of experience in preparing horses for sale and competition, and are willing to discuss what kind of grading will best suit your stock and be of benefit to you.
